Cyprus Parliament: Referrals, Migration Bill, and Staff Regulations

The Parliament plenary session on Thursday will discuss three law referrals, a bill to harmonize Cypriot legislation with the EU Pact on migration and asylum, and legislative proposals for regulations concerning parliamentary staff.

The referrals concern the Law on the Promotion and Encouragement of the Use of Renewable Energy Sources and the Law on Elementary Education.

The bill on the Refugee Law aims to harmonize with the European Pact on Migration and Asylum before its entry into force in June 2026.

Additionally, legislative proposals for amendments to the Law on Parliamentary Staff and Related Matters will be examined, with proposals from various MPs.
