Hatzidakis: Inconceivable that some farmers' unionists do not come to dialogue

The Deputy Prime Minister, Kostis Hatzidakis, expressed his perplexity at the refusal of some farmers' unionists to participate in the planned dialogue with the government. In an interview with OPEN, Mr. Hatzidakis called on the farmers' unionists to reconsider their stance and participate in the meetings, stressing that the government has shown good faith and made concessions to facilitate the dialogue.
Mr. Hatzidakis reminded that the government has already held discussions with the farmers' unionists since last year and expressed hope that party interests will not prevail. He also stressed the limitations imposed by the state budget and the EU, but also the government's effort to exhaust the possibilities of supporting farmers.
The Deputy Prime Minister underlined the importance of dialogue in addressing the problems of the agricultural sector and called on all parties to participate, putting forward their arguments.
