Christodoulides Announces Local Government Reforms Post-Election

The President of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, announced that the Government will proceed with corrective actions to the new local government system after the parliamentary elections. Specific proposals will be submitted to Parliament.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of three development projects in Polis Chrysochous, the President stated that there are anomalies that need to be corrected, and the executive branch is ready to address them.
These projects, according to the President, aim at the sustainable development of the region, improving the quality of life for citizens, and enhancing tourism. Christodoulides emphasized the need for cooperation with the Ministry of Education, the Deputy Ministry of Tourism, and the Deputy Ministry of Culture to promote the projects and further develop tourism.
