Christodoulides: "Escalation is in no one's interest"

President Christodoulides stated in Brussels, upon his arrival at the informal European Council, that "the escalation in relations is in no one's interest, neither the member states of the European Union, nor the United States."

He described António Costa's decision to convene the informal European Council as absolutely correct and expressed full respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Denmark, emphasizing that the Republic of Cyprus knows better than any other member state what violation of sovereignty and territorial integrity means.
