Christodoulides: "Any solution must fully respect Ukraine's sovereignty"

The President of the Republic, Mr. Nikos Christodoulides, stated that any solution in Ukraine should fully respect Ukraine's sovereignty. The statements were made on the sidelines of a visit to the Apostolos Varnavas Special School in Liopetri.

Answering a question on how the formulas being considered for Ukraine affect the Cyprus issue, Mr. Christodoulides stressed that it is clear that Ukraine's sovereignty must be fully respected, as emerged from the meeting in Geneva between delegations from the USA and Ukraine.

The President mentioned that a teleconference with the European Union is in progress and there is cooperation with Ukraine and the USA, hoping that a solution acceptable to Ukraine will be found, without imposition. He reiterated that the country's sovereignty must be fully respected.
