Interior Minister: Commitment to a Viable Cyprus Solution

The Minister of Interior, Konstantinos Ioannou, stated that the Government is working with dedication towards a viable and functional solution to the Cyprus issue, based on the principles of European and international law.

At an event of the Athletic Music-Philological Association «Digenis Akritas Morfou», Mr. Ioannou stressed that the solution must ensure the liberation of the homeland, peace, the rights of all legal residents, the return to ancestral homes, and the removal of occupying forces.

Furthermore, he mentioned that the Ministry of Interior continues to implement policies to support refugees and preserve the memory of the occupied territories.
