Antigoni: Surprised to Represent Cyprus at Eurovision

Antigoni, this year's representative of Cyprus for Eurovision 2026, was a guest on the show "Buongiorno" with Fai Skorda.

The singer expressed her feelings about being selected, saying: "I am very happy, very grateful. It has been my dream since I was very young to represent Cyprus." She also mentioned Elena Paparizou as a source of inspiration.

Regarding her selection by RIK, Antigoni stated: "It was a surprise for me too, I found out two minutes before they uploaded it online that I would represent Cyprus. I cried."

Regarding reports that Josephine would be the representative, Antigoni commented: "I read about Josephine, for a moment I thought I would not represent Cyprus, I left it to God."
