Although their relationship appears strained, there was communication last summer through lawyers. According to a #PageSix report, the 26-year-old chef has asked his parents to avoid direct contact and public mentions of him on social media, insisting that all communication should be through his lawyers.

This decision is linked to his dissatisfaction with comments about his wife, Nicola Peltz, implying that she 'controls' him or that he is a 'hostage' in their relationship. Additionally, his younger brother, Cruz, claimed that Brooklyn has blocked both him and their parents on Instagram.
