«The Innocent»: New series on ALPHA Cyprus

A new period drama, «The Innocent», premieres on ALPHA Cyprus on Sunday, March 22nd, and will air every Sunday at 9:00 PM. The series is based on the emblematic novella by Konstantinos Theotokis, «Katadikos», and the screenplay is written by Eleni Zioga.

The story takes place in Corfu in the early 20th century and follows the life of Yiannos (Kostas Nikouli), a child growing up stigmatized by society. Margarita (Christina Cheila-Fameli), a girl with exceptional beauty and intelligence, enters his life.

The series also stars Giannis Niarrros, Kimon Kouris, Amalia Kavali, Giorgos Stamos, Maria Kallimani, Eleni Zioga, Loukia Michalopoulou, and Christos Kalavrouzos.

The series' theme song, «I Was Born to Love», is composed by Christos Stylianou, with lyrics by Eleni Zioga, and performed by Maria Latsinou, Martha Zioga, Marianna Zafireli, Myrto Karekou, Eleni Zioga.
