Christina Applegate Hospitalized with Kidney Infection

Actress Christina Applegate is hospitalized due to an infection in both kidneys. The 53-year-old actress, who is battling multiple sclerosis, revealed that the pain was so intense that it made her scream.

Applegate reported that she began feeling unwell after a trip to Europe. Upon her return to California, she was diagnosed with a kidney infection. After a CT scan, doctors found that she had an infection in both kidneys and started intravenous antibiotics.

"From the waist to the front, the pain is unbearable. I was screaming and they gave me an emergency CT scan at 2:00 in the morning," Applegate said describing her experience.
