Woman breaks spine in Nicki Minaj stiletto challenge

A 32-year-old Russian woman, Mariana Barutkina, suffered a spinal fracture while attempting the viral Nicki Minaj stiletto challenge on social media.

The challenge recreates a pose by the rapper from her "High School" music video (2013). Barutkina reportedly tried to do the pose on a kitchen counter, weeks after giving birth, while holding a can of baby formula. She lost her balance and fell.

Nicki Minaj later clarified that the correct version of the pose requires both feet on the ground.
