Hello Kitty Apfel Koniac Gelee Recall Due to Choking Hazard

The Ministry of Health has announced a recall of Hello Kitty Apfel Koniac Gelee, a product of Sanrio Co. LTD. Tokyo, due to a choking hazard for children.

The Ministry's Health Services received a relevant notification from the EU's Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF). The recall is due to the product's texture, shape, and size, which can cause choking if swallowed by children.

The packaging contains 12 individual 15-gram packages and has a best before date of 11/06/2026 (26.06.22B). Distribution companies in Cyprus have already been informed and have begun the withdrawal/recall process. Consumers are urged not to give the product to children and to return it to the stores where they purchased it.
