The Management Committee of the Independent Social Support Agency announced that no irregularities arose from the compliance audit conducted by the Audit Office.

The Accountant General, Andreas Antoniadis, who serves as Treasurer on the Committee, stated that the issues raised in the report fall outside the scope of an auditing body and a legal opinion has been requested from the Legal Service.

According to the announcement, the Agency operates in full compliance with the current legislative framework and the Constitution of the Republic of Cyprus. The Committee emphasizes that the regulatory provision for the presidency of the Agency by the First Lady is institutionalized and does not constitute a special relationship.

Furthermore, it is stated that decisions are made on the basis of published eligibility criteria and without access to personal data, ensuring impartiality and equal opportunities.
