Archbishop: No Confession of Faith Received from Tychikos

Archbishop Georgios stated that he has not received a Confession of Faith from the deposed Metropolitan of Paphos, Tychikos, refuting a report by the International Church News Agency "ORTHODOXIA".
In response to a question from philenews, the Archbishop stated that he had not received "anything related" and does not know if a Confession of Faith has been sent to the Ecumenical Patriarchate.
Asked about the possibility of the Holy Synod examining the confession, the Archbishop replied that, if sent, it would be examined.
Church sources noted that the examination of the confession is irrelevant while Mr. Tychikos' appeal to the Ecumenical Patriarchate is pending, and that the Confession should have been submitted before the appeal.
According to a report by "ORTHODOXIA", Mr. Tychikos' Confession of Faith is signed on June 18 and was drafted before the appeal was filed with the Ecumenical Patriarchate, following a relevant request from the Holy Synod on May 22.
In his Confession, Mr. Tychikos refers to unfounded claims of avoiding submitting a Confession of Faith and assures that he has not joined any delusion or heresy.
