Aspropyrgos: Arrest for 17,000 Pairs of Glasses in Container

In Aspropyrgos, a man was arrested by OPKE for possessing 17,000 pairs of glasses in a container in his yard.

According to the police, the man, a Roma resident of the Nea Zoi settlement, was trafficking counterfeit products. OPKE officers located a container in his yard containing 54 boxes and 85 bags of sunglasses and eyeglasses from various companies, as well as 4,000 eyeglass cases.

Authorities estimate that the arrested man was making thousands of euros by selling the products as genuine in stores. The investigation into the case is ongoing.
