Strovolos Municipal Sports Center Named "Glafkos Klerides"

The Strovolos Municipal Sports Center has been named "Glafkos Klerides" in a ceremony held on Monday.

The event was attended by the Speaker of the House, the Minister of Transport, the Mayor of Strovolos, the Deputy Mayor, and the former Mayor, as well as the President of the Cyprus Sports Organisation (KOA) and other officials.

The Speaker of the House referred to the "deep imprint" of Glafkos Klerides, while a greeting was read from his daughter, Kaiti Kleridou.

This is the second time that the name of Glafkos Klerides has been given to a sports center, after the one in Agros, and it has also been given to Larnaca International Airport and several streets.
