Saint Xenophon was a wealthy senator from Constantinople who lived in the 6th century AD. After his children were rescued from a shipwreck, he followed an ascetic life in Jerusalem with his family.
Xenophon, along with his wife Maria, had two sons, Arkadios and Ioannis. They initially sent their sons to Beirut to study law. During this trip, their ship was wrecked, but they were eventually rescued, leading the family to asceticism.
