Today, Tuesday, January 27th, the church commemorates the Translation of the Holy Relics of John Chrysostom. Those celebrating are Chrysostomos, Chrysostomi, Chrysostomia.

Saint John Chrysostom reposed on September 14, 407 AD and was buried in Comana of Pontus. In 438 AD, the Translation of his Holy Relics took place in Constantinople, following a request from Patriarch Saint Proclus and Emperor Theodosius II.

Today is also International Holocaust Remembrance Day.
