Investigation into Boat Fire at Larnaca Marina Continues

Police and the Fire Service are continuing their investigation to determine the cause of a fire that broke out on a boat at Larnaca Marina on Sunday, June 22.
According to the Police, the investigations so far do not indicate criminal activity. However, investigations are ongoing to clarify the exact causes of the fire.
Fire Service Press Officer Andreas Kettis stated that the boat was completely on fire and was towed by marina staff to the open sea, without affecting other boats.
The boat drifted into shallow waters, while a small vessel with portable firefighting equipment managed to extinguish the fire. The Fire Service responded with two vehicles from the Larnaca fire stations.
The incident initially hampered firefighting efforts due to initial access difficulties, but the fire was eventually brought under control.
