Investigation into Boat Fire at Larnaca Marina Underway

Police and the Fire Service are continuing their investigation into the causes of a fire that broke out on a boat at Larnaca Marina on Sunday, June 22.
According to the Police, the investigations so far do not indicate criminal activity. However, investigations are ongoing to clarify the exact causes of the fire.
Fire Service Press Officer Andreas Kettis stated that the boat was completely on fire and was towed by marina staff to the open sea, without affecting other boats.
Following actions by the Larnaca Marina Administration, a small boat was mobilized, which with portable fire extinguishing managed to extinguish the fire on the remaining hull, which was later towed to a safe area.
Two staffed vehicles from the Larnaca fire stations participated in the extinguishing operation.
