I. Apostolopoulos Criticizes Karystianou over Chios Shipwreck

Iasonas Apostolopoulos has called on Maria Karystianou to retract her statements regarding the shipwreck in Chios, where 15 migrants lost their lives. The criticism concerns Karystianou's characterization of the situation as "illegal invasions" in relation to immigration.
In a Facebook post, I. Apostolopoulos, an activist and rescuer, asked: "Do you know that 10 children are in the hospital with fractures and broken arms? Are these children invaders?" He also called on M. Karystianou to retract her statements.
Nikos Plakias, who lost his daughters in the Tempi train accident, also intervened in the discussion, commenting on I. Apostolopoulos' initial stance towards M. Karystianou. I. Apostolopoulos replied that he is not afraid to criticize and published the post on the X platform as well.
