Isotita Denies Reports of 'Baby Snatching'

The Branch Council of Social Services Officers of the Pancyprian Union of Isotita expressed concern about recent reports referring to a 'supposed 'baby snatching'' by officials of the Social Welfare Services.
Isotita emphasizes that the removal of a minor from parental care always takes place with a court decision, in accordance with the Children Law (Cap. 352), with the best interests of the child in mind.
The union calls for the immediate withdrawal of the article and calls on journalists to cover such cases with complete information and the official positions of all parties involved.
