Nikos Androulakis: Athena Papachristou was an example of dedication

The president of PASOK-KINAL, Nikos Androulakis, expressed his sadness for the death of Athena Papachristou, the farmer who donated an ambulance to the Mesolonghi hospital.

Mr. Androulakis stated that Papachristou's action was a "true example of dedication to society, selflessness and beneficence". He also mentioned that her words, when he thanked her by phone, were a "lesson of life, humanity, solidarity and simplicity".

Athena Papachristou had donated an ambulance to the Mesolonghi hospital, as she herself had experienced difficulties in her transfer to the Patras hospital. The President of the Republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulou, had honored her with the Order of the Taxiarch of the Order of Honor.
