OKYPY: A&E Departments Not for Flu A Testing

The State Health Services Organisation (OKYPY) emphasizes that Accident and Emergency Departments (A&E) are not testing locations for Flu A. Spokesperson Charalambos Charilaou stated that A&E departments are intended for emergencies, not mild symptoms.

Mr. Charilaou stressed that visiting A&E for flu testing burdens the service for serious cases. He recommended using diagnostic tests and contacting personal physicians for medical guidance.

Furthermore, he emphasized that A&E departments do not replace personal physicians and called on the public to use health services responsibly.
