Student Supervision: Clear guidelines for protecting students and teachers

Student safety is the highest priority in schools. Supervising students before classes and during breaks is important, but the lack of clear guidelines creates problems for teachers.
While teachers' teaching time is determined by laws, supervision often relies on unwritten rules. Increasing supervision, while aimed at safety, can strain teachers.
Unionists emphasize the need for equal supervision duties for all staff and the value of collegial solidarity.
Suggestions for resolving the issue:
- Defining weekly supervision frequency.
- Including supervision in staffing calculations.
- Developing a standard supervision program.
- Empowering the Teachers' Association to approve the supervision program.
- Reinstating the institution of the "Student Supervisor."
The institutionalization of clear rules is necessary for a fair working environment.
