Eva Schloss, Anne Frank's Stepsister, Holocaust Survivor, Dies

Eva Schloss, the stepsister of Anne Frank and a Holocaust survivor, has died in London at the age of 96. The news was announced by a foundation bearing Anne Frank's name.
Her family expressed "great sadness" at the loss of the "remarkable woman." King Charles III and Camilla also expressed their "deep sorrow."
Eva Schloss co-founded the Anne Frank Trust in 1990. Born in Austria in 1929, her family emigrated to the Netherlands, where she lived opposite Anne Frank. In 1944, she was arrested and sent to Auschwitz-Birkenau. After liberation, she settled in London.
Her mother married Anne Frank's father, Otto Frank. Eva Schloss obtained British citizenship and, in 2021, regained Austrian citizenship. She wrote books and was honored by King Charles III.
