Fire in Limassol: Immediate Response Prevents Spread to Residences

A fire that broke out in dry grass and wild vegetation near the "Spyros Kyprianou" stadium in Limassol was brought under full control on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Fire Service, the response was immediate with five fire trucks from the Limassol Fire Stations, one vehicle from the Department of Forests, Civil Defense, and volunteer teams. In addition, two firefighting aircraft assisted from the air.
During the fire, there was a threat to residences, which were protected thanks to the timely intervention of the fire services. A partial recall of personnel was made to cover the city.
The fire is under control, with the burned area estimated at one hectare. Authorities are investigating the causes of the fire in cooperation with the Police.
