Actor Takis Vamvakidis was rushed to "Sotiria" hospital on August 14 after experiencing symptoms resembling choking from coughing.

Doctors diagnosed acute pulmonary embolism and placed him on medication and strict immobilization. The actor expressed his regret for the postponement of a road trip to Pontus, which he had organized with "Ekdoseis- Taxidia Trapezous" and businessman Fokionas Fountoukidis.
