The Prisons Department denies claims regarding living and hygiene conditions at Central Prisons, particularly in the women's section. The administration states that the quality and quantity of food are satisfactory, supervised by professional cooks, and inspected by nutritionists and health services.

It also refutes claims about finding a mouse, cockroach, and tooth in the food, calling them false and malicious. It also mentions that there is a microwave in the communal kitchen and that shower malfunctions are promptly repaired.

The Prisons Department emphasizes that the Pompidou Group visited the women's section and there were no complaints from the inmates. Furthermore, it is subject to supervisory control by the Commissioner for Administration and Human Rights and the Prisons Council.
