AEK: Critical hours for Dessers transfer

AEK is in critical negotiations to acquire Cyriel Dessers from Rangers. Discussions are ongoing, but no agreement has been reached, with the team starting its preparation in the Netherlands.

The 30-year-old striker has agreed to a three-year contract with AEK, but the agreement between the two teams is pending. The difference in the financial aspect is not prohibitive, with AEK offering around 4 million euros, while Rangers are asking for at least 5 million euros.

AEK is expected to intensify efforts to complete the transfer immediately, so that Dessers is available to Marko Nikolic. Alternatively, Javier Ribalta will consider other options, having already prepared two more potential strikers.

The team has limited time, as it begins its official competitive obligations in a month, while Frantzy Pierrot will join the preparation after completing his obligations with Haiti in the Gold Cup and his leave.

Developments are expected within the week in other transfer cases as well, as Nikolic wants the immediate strengthening of the team with a left back, a stopper and a midfielder.
