Andreas Michaelides: 11 Proposals for Changes in the CFA

Andreas Michaelides, former coach and president of the Cyprus Sports Organisation (KOA), has sent a letter to the president of the CFA (ΚΟΠ), Charis Loizidis, with 11 proposals for changes in the operation of the Federation and the championships.
In his letter, Mr. Michaelides mentions that he has submitted similar proposals in the past, which were not promoted. His proposals cover a wide range of issues, such as the CFA elections, the composition of the Board of Directors, refereeing, observers, the Technical Committee, national teams, the list of titles, the draw for the championships, the participation of Cypriot players, the Cup, and the Coaching School.
Among other things, he proposes the abolition of the proxy system in the CFA elections, the increase of representatives of the smaller categories on the Board of Directors, the establishment of a draw for the appointment of referees, the reactivation of the Technical Committee, and the tightening of penalties for non-use of Cypriot players.
Mr. Michaelides expresses the view that these changes will improve the quality of football in Cyprus and make it more attractive and competitive.
