Anorthosis: One step away from lifting the embargo

Anorthosis proceeded on Friday to pay off the amount owed to Arboleda, the last pending issue for lifting the embargo. The Colombian confirmed on Sunday the payment from the Famagusta team.

The Anorthosis administration faced difficulties, as large sums had to be paid in a short period of time and there was a communication problem with some players. It took two days and many efforts to locate Arboleda.

Anorthosis managed to settle 10 cases that had reached FIFA within a month, something that seemed difficult.

Confirmation is expected from FIFA for the lifting of the embargo, so that the team can proceed with the registration of new players. The administration hopes to receive the update from the World Federation soon.
