Anorthosis: Contacted Bouchalakis Before Panetolikos Deal

Anorthosis technical director Apostolos Makridis revealed that the team had contact with Andreas Bouchalakis, formerly of Olympiacos Piraeus, before the player agreed to join Panetolikos.

Bouchalakis, although he discussed terms with Anorthosis, ultimately chose to return to Greece for personal reasons. Makridis emphasized the need for a midfielder with the characteristics of Van Nif, who was injured, but contacts with Bouchalakis and Kane did not materialize.
