APOEL Lodges Complaint Regarding Refereeing in Apollon Match

APOEL has officially filed a complaint regarding the refereeing of Menelaos Antoniou in yesterday's league match against Apollon, through a letter to the president of KOP and the president of the Refereeing Committee.

In the letter, APOEL states that refereeing decisions affected the outcome of the match. Specifically, they refer to an incorrect penalty awarded to Apollon in the 8th minute and a penalty not awarded to APOEL in the 33rd minute.

Furthermore, APOEL claims that Menelaos Antoniou incorrectly did not send off goalkeeper Belecs, a decision that, according to the team, demonstrates a lack of competence.
