Messi's Bodyguard Banned from Leagues Cup for Pushing Atlas Players

Lionel Messi's bodyguard, Yassine Cheuko, has been banned from the Leagues Cup, and Inter Miami fined, after Cheuko entered the field after the match against Atlas.

Cheuko, without accreditation, pushed Atlas players who approached Messi following a verbal altercation. His action was deemed excessive.

The incident occurred after Inter Miami's 2-1 victory over Atlas. The tournament committee banned Cheuko until the end of the Leagues Cup 2025 (August 31).

Atlas defender Matheus Dória stated that the bodyguard is not authorized to intervene between players.

Since April, Cheuko had been banned from Inter Miami's bench during MLS matches.
