Silver for Pelendritou at the Singapore World Championships

Karolina Pelendritou won the silver medal in the 50m freestyle S11 final at the World Para Swimming Championships in Singapore.

The Cypriot champion finished with a time of 30.30, which is her best performance this year. The first place was taken by Russian Daria Lukyanenko with 30.22 and the third by Dutch Lisette Bruinsma with 30.34.

This is Pelendritou's third medal in the 50m freestyle at the World Championships, having won gold in 2022 and bronze in 2023.

Pelendritou will also compete in the 100m breaststroke final on Tuesday.
