The father of the young Cameroonian footballer, Joseph Fi, stated that Collins will continue his career in another academy to improve his skills before any professional step.

According to a publication, Joseph Fi claims that "fraudsters forced him to sign a so-called contract with the Cypriot team, without the knowledge of Fi Akamba's parents." The family considers the contract invalid.
