Avramovic: «The Greek National Team is a strong team with character»

Serbian National Team guard Aleksa Avramovic expressed his respect for the Greek National Team after Serbia's friendly victory with 76-66 in Cyprus, as part of the preparation tournament for the EuroBasket.

Avramovic stated that he was sorry that Giannis Antetokounmpo and Vasilis Toliopoulos did not play. «It was a really very strong test. We had a good opportunity to test our strength and implement the systems,» he said.

«We know that the Greeks are strong and have character. We started slowly, but we increased the pressure and cut them off from the three-point line. We played good defense in general,» added Avramovic, who will now play for Dubai BC.

He also referred to the expected return of Micic, Smailagic, and Trifunovic to the team.
