Australian marathon runner Catherine Drysdale made history at the 20th Antarctic Ice Marathon, taking first place among all participants, men and women.

Drysdale completed the race in 3 hours, 48 minutes, and 43 seconds, in temperatures as low as -18°C.

This is the first time a woman has won the Antarctic Ice Marathon.
