Controversial Refereeing Decisions in APOEL-Apollon Friendly

Refereeing decisions in the friendly match between APOEL and Apollon have been questioned. Specifically, the focus is on the refereeing of Kyriakos Athanasiou, who allegedly made two serious mistakes.
The first concerns the failure to award a penalty in favor of Apollon, while the second concerns a phase before the equalizing goal, where the ball appears to have gone out of bounds. Assistant referee Nikos Englezou is also responsible.
Questions are raised regarding the adequacy of Cypriot referees, ahead of the new season, with chief referee Antonio Damato being called upon to improve the level of refereeing immediately.
