Lionel Messi has expressed his displeasure with the suspension imposed by MLS, which excluded him from a league match due to his non-participation in the All-Star Game.

"They didn't let me play," Messi stated, referring to the suspension he served in the match against Cincinnati on July 27. Returning to action in the Leagues Cup against Atlas, Messi emphasized that he felt the consequences of his absence, especially in the first half.

Jorge Mas, the main shareholder of Inter Miami, revealed that Messi was very upset with the suspension, expressing concerns about potential long-term consequences on Messi's perception of the league.

In the match against Atlas, Messi celebrated a goal of his team intensely, addressing MatĂas Coccaro. Coccaro, despite the initial provocation, praised Messi after the match, stating that the Argentinian apologized and gave him his jersey.

"He is the greatest footballer of all time," Coccaro said, expressing his respect for Messi.
