The Hellenic Olympic Committee (EOE), in agreement with the Hellenic Corporation of Assets and Participations S.A. (HCAP) and Hellenic Public Properties Company S.A. (HPPC), has announced the immediate repair and upgrade of the rowing center in Schinias. The goal is to host competitions starting in the spring.

EOE President Isidoros Kouvelos initiated the "Adopt a Facility" program, attracting sponsors to upgrade sports venues. After 22 years of neglect, the Schinias Olympic Rowing Center will be fully upgraded.

Anaplasis Public Spaces S.A., in collaboration with the Hellenic Rowing Federation (EKOFNS), completed a technical study, with the budget reaching 4 million euros. The priority is the restoration of the floating platforms for the Panhellenic Rowing Championship on April 19, 2026.

The EOE has requested the Government to transfer the Rowing Center from HCAP/HPPC to the Region of Attica. It has also assigned the company Ingemar to repair the floating platforms.

At the same time, HPPC will address the issue of the water level reduction. Isidoros Kouvelos has emphasized the upgrading of other sports venues, such as the Panathenaic Stadium and the Zappeion Swimming Pool.
