Successful Cypriot Mission at the European Youth Olympic Festival

The Cyprus Olympic Committee (KOE) presented its report on its participation in the 18th European Youth Olympic Festival 2025, which took place in Skopje and Osijek. The mission was described as completely successful, with Cyprus winning two medals.

Alexandros Gamraoui won the gold medal in the hammer throw, while Marina Hatzikosta won the bronze in the discus throw. In addition, several athletes achieved good positions in the finals of their events.

The General Secretary of KOE, Mr. Giotis Ioannidis, expressed his satisfaction with the presence of the Cypriot team, emphasizing that the participation strengthened the strategy for the development of young athletes. The head of the mission, Mr. Giorgos Panagidis, stressed that the athletes showed excellent competitive spirit and sportsmanship.

Athletes of the mission also attended the press conference, sharing their experiences from the games. KOE thanked its sponsors for their support.
