EuroBasket: Cyprus Ready to Showcase its Basketball

Coach Christoforos Livadiotis and captain Nikos Stylianou emphasized the Cyprus national team's ambition to be competitive in the EuroBasket, which will be held at the Spyros Kyprianou Athletic Center from August 28 to September 4.

Christoforos Livadiotis stated: "It is an honor for us to be in the EuroBasket and that it is organized here... It is an opportunity for all of us to show that there is basketball in Cyprus and we love it." He acknowledged that Cyprus is the underdog of the group but expressed hope that the fans will support the team.

Nikos Stylianou mentioned that it is positive that the premiere is against Bosnia and Herzegovina, as they have faced them recently. "We are lucky to have Bosnia as our first opponent... They are a good team, with experienced and high-level players."

The Cyprus national team will face Bosnia and Herzegovina (28/08), Greece (30/08), Spain (31/08), Georgia (02/09), and Italy (04/09).
