FIFPRO Condemns FIFA's 'Authoritarian Governance'

The World Players' Union (FIFPRO) has expressed strong concerns about FIFA's management of global football during a meeting in Amsterdam on July 25. The meeting included 58 national football player associations.
FIFPRO reaffirmed its commitment to protecting the rights of players, which it claims are undermined by FIFA's commercial policies. According to FIFPRO, the overloaded match schedule, lack of recovery, extreme playing conditions, and lack of dialogue endanger player health.
FIFPRO President Sergio Marchi stated that football belongs to the players, not FIFA or Infantino. He also stressed that many players are not paid while FIFA records record ticket sales.
FIFPRO calls on FIFA to consider the structural difficulties faced by footballers worldwide, including payment delays and working conditions.
