Filip Helander: Transfer to Häcken and Challenges at Omonia

Filip Helander discussed his transfer to Häcken after a difficult period at Omonia. The 32-year-old defender moved to the Swedish team aiming to regain his old form and help the team in European matches.

"They didn't count on me, and I didn't want to say no to this opportunity," Helander stated, referring to his departure from Omonia, where he had one year left on his contract. He said it was clear that he was not in the team's plans.

Helander arrived at Häcken after a journey that started from Larnaca, with a stopover in Frankfurt. Despite the fatigue from the trip, he participated in the team's training session.

The Swedish defender, who has also played in Serie A and for Rangers, stated that he feels in good physical condition and can still contribute. He has 23 caps for the Swedish national team.

He also mentioned the injury that forced him to stop the season in Cyprus, saying it was a period with mixed feelings.
