Filip Helander: Transfer to Häcken and Challenges at Omonia

Filip Helander discussed his transfer to Häcken from Omonia, describing it as a new challenge in his career. He mentioned that he didn't feel valued at the Cypriot team.

The 32-year-old defender moved to Häcken with the aim of regaining his form, ahead of the team's European matches. He stated that he was happy about the transfer, despite being tired from the journey.

Helander has not played since March 29 due to an injury, and it will take time for him to be ready to wear the Häcken jersey. Despite having a contract with Omonia, he stated that it was clear that he was not being considered.

The Swedish defender had a successful spell at Malmö FF before moving to Serie A and Verona. He also has 23 appearances for the Swedish national team.

Referring to his condition, Helander stated that he feels he can still contribute but needs match rhythm. He also emphasized that his career at Omonia was marked by an injury that forced him to end the season prematurely.
