G. Koumas Abroad, Triantafyllidis' Counterattack

The defense of the President of the Cyprus Football Association (CFA), Giorgos Koumas, is launching a counterattack following the registration of a case for criminal prosecution. Mr. Koumas is absent on a scheduled trip abroad, and the indictment has not yet been served to him.

According to his lawyer, Mr. Triantafyllidis, the service will take place after his return to Cyprus. The indictment also concerns two companies, to which the service can be made through their boards of directors.

Mr. Koumas' legal team states that they are determined to refute the charges and prove his innocence. Mr. Triantafyllidis argued that Ms. Lykourgou's statements make the defense's job "much easier".
