Imani Khalif Appeals to CAS Over Boxing Federation Ban

Imani Khalif, a gold medalist from Algeria, has appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) regarding her ban by the World Boxing Federation. The ban resulted from her refusal to undergo gender verification tests.

The 25-year-old athlete is accused of hyperandrogenism and had temporarily withdrawn from competition. In August, she filed an appeal with CAS, which rejected her request for a temporary lifting of the ban on September 1.
