Spain: Bull Gores 'King of Bullfighting' in Arena

Renowned bullfighter Morante de la Puebla, also known as the 'King of Bullfighting,' was seriously injured in a Seville arena. During a bullfight, a bull gored him in the hip area, causing a rectal perforation.

Morante de la Puebla described the injury as the most painful of his career. He underwent surgery and remains hospitalized for monitoring and to prevent infection.

According to doctors, the injury includes a deep wound near the anus, damage to the sphincters, and a perforation of the rectal wall. He is expected to remain in the hospital for at least a week.
